Dockworkers on the East and Gulf Coasts went on strike on Tuesday. This marked the first major work stoppage by the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) since 1977. It will halt about half the nation’s ocean shipping imports and affects 36 ports from Maine to Texas. Continue reading →
